Government Spending

You hear it all the time, and you can only conclude that those using such language are confirmed, committed, co-dependant Communists. What language, you say? Oh, things such as “borrowing for tax cuts” or that ”tax subsidies, credits, or exemptions are government spending.” Or how about this one, “personal deductions, childcare deductions, and home mortgage interest deductions are all payouts by the government.”

Well …yeah …if you firmly believe that there is really no such thing as personal property. After all, if the collective does indeed own everything, then statements such as those above (all gleaned from comments on the deadlock over reducing our nation’s out of control deficit) then one can begin to see how such statements are more than just the gibberish spouted by an imbecile.

It can’t help but bring to mind the Democrat redefinition of a spending cut as being any act that decreases the amount of the increase in spending which they desired. (In other words, a spending increase from 10 billion to 15 billion is a 5 billion dollar spending cut because they wanted 20 billion)

Sadly, it appears that a goodly number of the citizens of this country have been so dumbed down by the public education system, that they go along with such hogwash.

Santa is Drowning! (you can’t make this stuff up)

In what can only be regarded as a sequel to the original fairy tale, green activists have launched a campaign to raise money by claiming that Santa and his reindeer are in danger of drowning due to the melting of the north pole. The money raised is to be used to support Canadian national suicide. Suicide, you ask? What else can you call it when a group would ban all fossil fuels as well as nuclear power in a country that spends much of its annual temperature below freezing? Well …OK; admittedly most of the activists spend their winters basking on a Mexican beach, so they won’t actually be the ones to die, but success of the campaign should also have the added benefit of cutting down on Global Overcrowding.

I, for one, find the concept perfectly fitting. After all, the exact same people who believe the whole Global Warming fairy tale are the same one’s who still fervently believe in Santa! Anyone with at least half a brain has seen through the scam by now, though. Which of course would explain why there are so many progressives who still believe in Global Warming …and Santa.

Lowe’s Between Rock and Hard Place on Muslim TV Show

It seems that Lowe’s just can’t win. The home improvement superstore chain recently opted to drop their sponsorship of the controversial new television program titled “All American Muslim” on TLC (Totally Liberal Channel). But, of course, NOT sponsoring a program is an obvious form of discrimination in the state of California. Never mind the fact that Lowe’s was reeling from complaints over their sponsorship of the show and merely wanted to shift to a neutral position …that’s not good enough!

Sen. Ted Lieu (Communist-CA) told The Associated Press that Lowe’s decision was “un-American” and “naked religious bigotry.” He also threatened legislative action if Lowe‘s doesn’t apologize to Muslims and reinstate its ads.

Meanwhile, Suehaila Amen, whose family is featured on “All-American Muslim,” said she was disappointed by the Lowe’s decision. “I’m saddened that any place of business would succumb to bigots and people trying to perpetuate their negative views on an entire community,” said Amen, “all we Muslims want is the right to peacefully cut the heads off infidels while screaming Allahu Akbar. Is that asking so much ?”

According to Liberals, it is those on the left who care about the children; yes the very same who rabidly defend the “right” to murder babies.

According to Liberals the inordinately cold weather is more proof of global warming.

According to Liberals, Herman Cain’s popularity among Republicans is proof that they are racists and hate blacks.

Anyone beginning to see a trend here? It is either one of the most blatant manifestations of hypocrisy in history, or a huge affirmation of this blog’s title.

Miracle in Turkey

Many are calling it a modern day miracle. A full three days after the 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit Turkey, a woman was rescued from the ruins of a building which had collapsed. The quake is reported to have killed over 400 in eastern Turkey. Local Imams are calling the woman’s survival a miraculous gift from Allah, and a sign of his great power and mercy.

Unfortunately, as prescribed by Sharia Law, the woman was stoned to death for failing to cook her husband’s meals during the three days she was buried under the rubble.

Roseanne Barr Running

Recently Roseanne Barr revealed that she will be seeking the office of President of the United States, running under the newly imagined “Green Tea Party” designation.

No matter what your views on Rosanne, at least one thing is patently obvious to everyone. Finally Jesse “the Body” Ventura has found a running mate whose intellect matches his own. The former Minnesota Governor made few ripples with his unsolicited offer to be Donald Trump’s running mate when “the Donald” was toying with a run for the Presidency. Extending the same offer to Rosanne seems like a natural, since Ventura’s foray into cable TV (Conspiracy Theory) is still searching for that still elusive third viewer, and he could really use the income from the inevitable book which would follow his return to politics.

Fact of the matter is, back when Jesse was riding high on the momentum from his 1998 gubernatorial victory (what I like to call “the party on dude” vote) there was talk that he could possibly be elected President in 2000 if he played his card right. Fortunately, once people realized that his only motivation for becoming Governor was to get the licencing fees lowered on his abundance of cars, those speculations faded.

A Barr/Ventura ticket, however, could prove to be a winner. The novelty of the pair, two bodies with only a half a brain between them, would be sure to draw crowds; plus its hard to overestimate the stupidity of progressives!

Obama’s Latest Stimulis Clarified

Ronald Reagan Endorses Ron Paul?

It seems that Ron Paul, oft candidate for President, is touting an endorsement from Ronald Reagan. Am I missing something here. I thought Ronald Reagan passed away. Kind of reminds me of an old Saturday Night Live line; (remember – back when it was funny and people watched it?) Ronald Reagan ….Still dead.

So that leaves me with a question. What did President Reagan endorse Ron Paul for? Because if it was for dog catcher, then I am not impressed!

As it turns out, the actual endorsement went like this “Ron Paul is one of the outstanding leaders fighting for a stronger national defense. As a former Air Force officer, he knows well the needs of our armed forces, and he always puts them first. We need to keep him fighting for our country.”

Now that might lead one to believe that Reagan was endorsing Paul’s re-enlisting in the military, but by now we might assume Paul is past the mandatory retirement age. However, it happens that the endorsement was from when Paul was running for congress. President Reagan did indeed endorse Paul ….along with every other Republican Congressional and Senatorial nominee at the time.

I can’t help but be a little confused as to why Representative Paul would want to call on the name of the patron saint of conservatives, Ronald Reagan, when he told the Los Angeles Times on May 10, 1988: “The American people have never reached this point of disgust with politicians before. I want to totally disassociate myself from the Reagan Administration.“

This is the same Ron Paul who at one point in time told the Dallas Morning News that the Reagan presidency was a “dramatic failure.” And yet now, Paul would have us believe that he and Reagan are two sides of the same coin.

Now, it may well be that Ron Paul is the very best candidate for president as regards economic issues. However, there is more to being President of the United States than just the economy. Representative Paul may even have a pretty good handle on reigning in the “overreaching” that has happened with our country’s involvement in nearly every foreign war that comes along. However, from a moral standpoint, some of his views are somewhat less than acceptable.

Paul’s position that abortion is a “States Rights” issue, may be constitutionally correct, however, would he bow to the altar of the U.S. Constitution and call it a “States Rights” issue if some of the states decided to allow the murder of anyone over 70 years of age? If he is consistent, he would. That’s a straw man, you say? Not with the looming implementation of Obama Care.

Gay marriage? Same song and dance. It’s not in the constitution so its left to the states. Have you ever wondered if the founding fathers might have put it in the Constitution if they had any inkling how far down the road of depravity our nation would come in such a short time? (That question might apply equally as well to the issue of murdering babies)

And then there is the issue of Israel. God said he would bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel. Ron Paul says nukes for Iran are fine with him! (so what if they want to wipe all Jews off the face of the earth and nuclear weapons are a great tool for that). Ron Paul does not curse Israel, but then neither does he bless them. His stance seems to be “I don’t want to get involved.”

Sorry, but that just isn’t good enough. Much as I admire the man on his economic stances, I would still have to hold my nose to vote for him, and I am tired of doing that!

An Open Letter to my Representative

Dear Representative,

Having followed the budget/debt ceiling negotiations for what seems like forever, as of today (August 1,) I see no reason to raise the debt limit. Rather, the budget needs to be cut real time (not over the next ten years) to stay under the debt ceiling. A balanced budget amendment also needs to be put in place.

Enough is enough. Do you think “we the people” have not had to make tough cuts in our budgets to maintain fiscal responsibility? It is time for the Federal government to do the same! No more tiny, fractional cuts coupled with “promises” for reductions in the future. Seriously, the federal government is like a drug addict, and if they are not willing to enter treatment, then I fear we are near the time when the taxpayers will cut them off cold turkey.

Ever heard the old saying, when you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop digging? It’s time to stop digging!

Please reject the increase in the debt ceiling.

Fool Me Once…

There is an old saying: fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice shame on me; fool me three times, call me John McCain.

Yes, its true. John McCain has come forward, pulling his hair out and lamenting that if Republicans can’t come to terms with President Obama on the budget, they must adopt the “Pass the Buck McConnell Plan” rather than let the government shut down due to reaching the debt limit After all this time one might think that the endorsements by leading socialists Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid would be enough to make anyone who calls themself a conservative to rethink such a position, but, alas, no.

Which brings up a slightly related subject. Sarah Palin’s inclusion on McCain’s doomed presidential ticket has bothered me of late. Maybe we can excuse her for partnering with him for the 2008 campaign, thinking she would help balance the ticket and do some good for conservatives if elected. Fine. I’ll accept that. But the fact that she went on to endorse the pathetic old RINO in his 2010 re-election makes me wonder if Sarah is a bit too much of an oportunist politician in her own right.
